Meet Ken
Dear Neighbors,
I have been an owner along with my wife at the Hemispheres since 2021. I’m motivated to submit my candidacy for the Board of Directors to embrace the many challenges and
opportunities our community faces today and in the future.
Having spent the majority of my career in the financial services and wealth management arena, it has afforded me the opportunity to wear many hats and acquire a certain set of
skills that I feel would benefit the Association.
As an Assistant Treasurer for a mutual fund board, I learned how a professional board operates and conducts itself to best represent shareholders.
As a senior business manager for an $80 billion investment advisor, I was the bridge between the business and the support partners that included Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance and many other business units. I had responsibility for negotiating legal contracts with our external counsel, managed key vendor relationships, owned the risk control self-assessment process which identifies key risks to a business and creating corresponding mitigating controls.
I have a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and currently I’m a Certified Financial Planner professional and a Financial Advisor.
If I have the privilege of your vote, my top 4 priorities will be:

1st, to act as a true fiduciary and be a diligent fiscal steward of our money as we navigate the challenges of this historic special assessment so we can reduce the risk of future assessments due to preventable errors in planning and oversight of over 16 concurrent construction projects.

2nd, I will work with my fellow board members to amend our governing structure by formalizing certain committees, encourage the active engagement of all nine board members in the business of overseeing the Hemispheres.
3rd, encourage the restoration of basic civility throughout the Hemispheres which includes the Board, Management, Vendors and Owners and work to eliminate the divisive atmosphere which is threatening our financial stability and reputation in the broader community.
4th updating the Association bylaws and rules and regulations so that the Board makes decisions actively considering owners input and participation.

There are 3 signature qualities that I have brought to every professional role: Integrity,
common sense, and a willingness to work with others to deliver practical solutions to
problems and challenges.
I humbly ask for your vote and the opportunity to help us continue to enjoy our homes and
work for the betterment of the community.
Respectfully,
Ken
